Salah
Privacy policy
Last updated 24 October 2026.
The short version
Salah collects no data and works without the internet; only buying Salah Pro talks to the App Store or Google Play. There is no account, no advertising, no tracking and no analytics.
Everything stays on your device
Prayer times are calculated on your iPhone, iPad, Mac or Android device from the city you choose. Your city, settings, reminders, children's names and sticker charts are stored only on the device (and, for the widget, in a storage shared only between Salah and its own widget on that device). Salah never sends them anywhere.
Location
Salah uses your location only when you tap Use my location. It then asks the system for one reading, looks up the nearest city in the list built into the app, and keeps that city. The coordinates are not sent anywhere and are not kept beyond that. You can decline and choose a city from the list instead. On Android Salah asks only for your approximate location. The Mac version never asks for location.
Notifications
Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. Salah asks for permission only when you first switch a reminder on, and nothing about them leaves your device. On Android, reminders use the system's alarm service and may arrive a few minutes after the prayer begins, never before.
Purchases
Salah Pro is bought through the App Store or, on Android, Google Play. Apple or Google handles the payment; Salah receives only the confirmation that Pro is unlocked, and never sees your payment details.
Children
Salah has no accounts and collects nothing from anyone, including children. A child's name or nickname in the sticker chart is typed in by a parent and stays on the device.
